We are very fortunate to live, work, and play in a region ripe with local fare. From dairy farms to berry farms, apples to zucchini, you can find a variety of fresh, local, nutritious offerings to fuel your day and your activity.
The Rutland Area Farm & Food Link (RAFFL) works to expand availability and access to locally produced foods, among other goals. The Locally Grown Guide is a yearly publication, highlighting and supporting farms and producers in our region.
Similarly, the Vermont Farmer's Food Center (VFFC), housed in a large warehouse on West Street in Rutland, works to increase access and availability of locally produced food. This space houses the Vermont Farmer's Market from November to March, allowing Rutland to host local food purveyors for 52 weeks a year!
